LAB UUID Configuration

Task:

Create a UUID Pool that has suffixes that range from 0000-000000000001 to 0000-000000000020.

Solution:

On the Servers tab, filter or navigate to Pools | root, right-click UUID Suffix Pools, and click Create UUID Suffix Pool.

Enter an approriate name, leave the default prefix type of Derived, and click Next. Enter the first suffix, 0000-0000000000000001, and choose a size of 32 (remember that UUIDs are in hex, so 32 = 0x20).
